Trip Around the World Neighborhood
I found this quilt top at an Odessa, Texas garage sale. The daughter who sold it said the pieces were cut by her grandmother and hand pieced by her mother in the 1950’s.
I just happened along your blog. my great grandmother and my grandmother both quilted. I gaurd the quilts I have that they close to me...why would anyone ever part with one even if it was just the top...my goodness!! Well congrats on the find it looks lovely. Thanks, Lisa. I also guard my quilts and find it hard to part with them at times, even to family members. Some people don't realize how much work and love are put into them.
