That's our sign. . .

Thanks to my brother-in-law for the nice paint job on our sign. We found the perfect place to hang it on the front porch.
A little criticism from his brother (my HD) about the color of the armadillo is responsible for the current color ! ! ! It's a new breed! Hmmmm

Hospitals, surgery & emergency room

Hospitals, surgery & emergency room -pink buddy & comfort food. . .

Arrived at hospital for knee surgery only to find that someone did not log out of my account. The person responsible was not there, office was locked and computer not accessible. This prevents patient from being admitted. After 45 minutes of waiting for maintenance to open door and release computer, finally they decided to just print arm band and send me up.

Surgery went well. It was day surgery so I was back home that afternoon. I had to use a walker Thursday and yesterday - thanks, Dad (R.E.) for leaving it here- it came in handy!  I am tired of this couch with leg propped up and the ice man machine to keep the swelling down but it will just be for one more day. I get to take all the bandages off and FINALLY take a shower tomorrow!

My HD takes such good care of me. He has been waiting on me and helping with everything. He took me to the emergency room this morning to have me checked out after I started coughing up blood. Apparently it is due to the tube they had in my throat for the surgery,  'cause they took a chest X-ray and did bloodwork to check for clots or infections and found no problems. Got some more good drugs - cough medicine with codeine!!

My HD decided we both needed some comfort food after the morning trip to the hospital.

More of Sunshine - Friend or Foe . . . .

Another reason to stay out of the sun or use sunscreen! Removing basil cell cancer is no fun - ask my HD.

Our Social Calendar?

Looks like our social calendar consists of doctor's offices this month. We have eight associated doctor visits this month. Five of them are mine, all to do with a torn meniscus and bakers cyst on my knee, which will be taken care of on the 19th with arthroscopic surgery.

My HD had a dermatologist appointment yesterday for  surgery to remove a basil cell cancer from his back. Took eight stitches to close it up.

We will be glad when this month is over and we are all healed up!
