Remodel an RV Cover-

So the RV cover at our son's house was too low for 5th wheel. Here is what DH, two sons, a grandson with a little help from daughter-in-law and myself did to adjust it to fit the height. It won't be long enough to cover the whole trailer but most of it will be under it.

There was constant supervision to make sure they were doing things correctly but that was hard work so this supervisor fell down on the job.

They cut the existing poles and added 4 feet to each pole to raise it up. Raising it up to fit the extensions in was a bit of a pain. Using a floor jack and blocks to jack it up and add the extension one at a time with the wind really blowing was not fun!! Had to trim the tree some to keep it from rubbing on the cover.

Over estimated a bit on how tall it needed to be but it's all good! With all the bolts and screws in place it is pretty stable and they added a carport to one side, which added more stability to it. They had to move the carport cover out of the way for working room on the cover, then move it back and attach it.

Our little home away from home is all set. We will be adding some utilities later, eliminating RV extension cords and water hoses but for now we are good.

We look forward to visiting more often and having and leaving family with privacy and making it easier to carry our two fur babies with us.
