I made myself a lap quilt that holds special memories. The fabrics are leftover from a quilt made for my sister Kathy. Mom embroidered all the blocks for it and my sister, Faith started making it.
When Faith's cancer got bad, she asked me if I'd finish it. I gave it to Kathy and husband, Gus at Christmas in 2009, the year before Faith passed away. Faith passed away in 2010, Mom in 2017 and Kathy in 2020. I miss them all but find a little comfort in the fabrics that their hands touched.
