Philippine Special Gifts

There are some special kids in the Philippines who are deserving of some special gifts.

These kids were from age 2 years to 11 years old.

I enlisted some help from a friend, Judy B. to shop for them since it has been a long while that I shopped much for those ages. Judy recruited Ann A. to help as well. We had a great time at Walmart shopping.

Judy also enlisted several people to help wrap all these gifts and put them in larger boxes, each marked for each child.  The boxes went in the big container sent to the Philippines.

Donuts were provided for a little extra energy!

Thanks to all who helped shop and wrap!!

Philippine Mission - Gifts For Those in Need.

Several people spent much of their time this month helping finish up the Azle Church of Christ portion of the shipment going to the Philippines. Azle Church of Christ was a hub for collecting things from other donors.

Gifts from the Sunset Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico were delivered to Lubbock, Texas by Brian McGonagill. We met at Sunset Book Store to transfer the gifts to my DH's truck for transport to Azle to go in the big shipment.

Other gifts below come from our congregation, and Baker Blvd Church of Christ.

We had lunch with Brian as well as my sister Marge and husband, Doug from Sunset in Lubbock.

Jointly we sent about 700 Christmas boxes for the kids, 60 desks, 100 boxes of books, several walkers and wheel chairs, tools and a lot of sewing machines and supplies. Much of this was repacked into boxes for efficient and safe shipping.

Thanks to all who donated goods, boxes plastic bags and trailer usage. The shipment was loaded at Oak Ridge Church of Christ in Willow Park Texas and shipped Tuesday.
