My Hand Embroidery

Hand embroidery is becoming a lost art. My Mom taught me to do hand embroidery when I was very young and I really enjoy it. It keeps me busy in the evenings when I am watching/listening to the television. Aunt Martha has some real pretty designs to stamp on fabric.

I made the following into small wall hangings that have sleeves on the back for dowels to hang them. They can also be used as table decorations.

Check them out on my Etsy site!

MY SCRIPTURE QUILT

I got my scripture quilt put together. I didn't do as well on the blocks as I would have liked but the embroidery machine did a good job.

I started the blocks when we were in Lubbock and finished here in Azle. Some of the embroidery designs took a long time to do but they turned out well.

Jerry made me a display rack on the patio that works really well to take good pictures EXCEPT  when the wind is blowing like it does here in Texas!!

Walk Door In Jerry's Shop

We finally got around to putting a walk door in Jerry's shop building. We weren't sure how we would get in if the overhead door opener ever quit working. It turned out really nice.

Remodeling Our Church Auditorium

We began the process to prepare for the remodel last Sunday after services and were so grateful for all the help of our congregation. Our Spanish congregation did a great job with all the pews.
They moved a number up the stairs to for them. It was amazing to watch then tackle that job with the long pews rounding the corner from the first set of stairs to the next! I am sure there were some tired muscles from that.

Everything had to be removed. We kept a few pews to use in the fellowship hall during the remodel, the Spanish congregation took some and the rest were given away to people of the congregation to use where needed. Loaded onto trucks and trailers.

Our Spanish congregation meet upstairs. This is how they set the pews up. They also set up their own nursery for the little ones. They did a great job and we really appreciate them and their hard work. It was wonderful for all to work together to accomplish this so quickly.
