Free Music Concerts in Azle

Not very many things are free these days but this was and we really enjoyed it with a couple of friends. Thanks, Pat for reminding us about it!

Music in the Park kicked off Friday at the  City of Azle park. The park department is sponsoring a series of summer musical events in Central Park.

One young lady from McKinney in the audience also performed but unfortunately I did not catch her name.

The first one was held on Friday, June 25, with the Terry Family and Saddle Pals performing county and western swing music of Bob Wills, Chet Atkins, Marty Robbins and Roy Rogers. They all did a great job and everyone really enjoyed it, young and "more mature" with a good sized crowd.




















The weather was perfect. We did think for awhile that afternoon it might get rained out but the showers came and went and left us with a nice cool breeze and beautiful sunset to enjoy the music by. Thanks to all who entertained!


The free concerts will run from 8 to 10 p.m. Central Park is on Main Street. Parking lot entrance is
next to Azle Masonic Lodge.





The concert series continues next Friday, July 2, with The Razzmajazz Dixieland Jazz Band. Come out and enjoy the music. Don't forget your lawn chairs in case all the seating it taken up!
