Once again, our church members made and purchased items for the Chimala Mission that our church sponsors. We usually make diaper shirts, book bags and simple light weight blankets. Also gather up school for and some medicinal type supplies for them. We don't send them 'til the fall but try to start early.
I choose to make the blankets since I have an abundance of fabric.
We make lightweight blankets since it is warm over there.
Lots of bags and school supplies.
Really cute diaper shirts. I like making the blankets better than the diaper shirts and have plenty of fabric to use.
Some made really cute pants as well. I also made a few book bags again this year. They are the white ones on the table, made from nylon fabric from an old pop-up craft tent.
